    3. David, Yes, my grandmother was Mabel Daley m. to William D. Whalen, her father was Stephen Daley m. to Ellen Bowes. My grandparents lived in Loggieville and all four of them are buried in the St. Andrew's Church Cemetery there. Are you related to this family? I think we did correspond once before; you said your sister was going there and would look into it. I have the Daley family back a couple of generations past Stephen if you want it. Let me know. HULDAH MOOERS was a daughter of Peter and Mary MOOERS of Maugerville, and married Ebenezer Whitney.....at Sheffield on jan 17 1769. So maybe that may give you a clue of where to search? good luck.......Linda

I am reviewing some LDS microfilm on PORTERs and will gladly keep an eye out if you can give me more information about your PORTERs. It will help if I have siblings and locations as close as possible as the material is extensive and not indexed. However it does go back quite far and covers many who went from USA to CAN during the American Revolutionary War. Regards, Sharyn

Yes, I have Huldah, but have the marriage date as Jan 17, 1767 in Sunbury, Sheffield. She is one of 8 children of Peter and Mary (Howes) Mooers. When at least 4 were born the family was in Rowley, MA, USA, but I don't know where the others were born. Peter was born in MA, USA also and it is unlikely he was Joshua's brother since Joshua was born in New Brunswick about 1822 to the best of my knowledge. I welcome any additional information about ANY MOOERS family. Thank you, Sharyn (PORTER separate message)

    3. Thank you, David. Unfortunately there has been no success online. A relative even went to PANB and got one school list from Blissfield, but she can't find it to share it with me. I know some school lists were published in a book by W. Hamilton that is out of print and currently not available. The problem with this MOOERS line is that there were several families of that name in Blissfield at the time, but none claim Joshua! Others who have researched this line feel that our best hope is to find more Blissfield school lists and records of other MOOERS families so we can find Joshua by process of elimination. We know he was in ME by 1858, we just can't find him earlier except on one school list. 2. George W. Page
    3. I am seeking vital statistic (and any other available) info on members of the subject family that immigrated from Cornwall (via Devon?), Eng. to New Brunswick after the 1841 Cornwall census. The family consisted of William & Elizabeth (GILL) TRETHEWEY plus some of their children (Amelia, John, and Fanny). They had a daughter Elizabeth ("Libbie") who was b. in (NB?) Canada between 1845-1848. Their daughter Fanny d. in NB about 1849. By 1851 they were in Michigan. He was a carpenter by profession. While visiting Nova Scotia I searched the "Nova Scotia Vital Statistics from Newspapers" (Vol. 10, 11, & 12) for the years 1840-1851 with negative results. These volumes were published by the Genealogical Association of Nova Scotia in 1985-1987, so I am hoping that a similar publication exists for the Provence of New Brunswick. Thank you, George W.
