    1. [CAN-NB-NORTHUMBERLAND] researching lot#97 in Rogersville
    2. Susan Grant
    3. I am trying to research who owned lot #97 in Rogersville before it was owned by my great grandmother and her husband, who sold it in 1890. Her name was Elizabeth Connick and married Joseph McLaughlin. I have a copy of the transaction which shows it was her land since the justice interviewed her separately to ensure she was not under duress to sell. She originally came from Nelson, and want to know how she got the land at Pleasant Ridge, Rogersville. Her father was Martin Connick who had land along the Miramichi river in Nelson. 1890 Instrument D Book 68 page 8 lot #97 How do I research backwards with this info? I cannot find any way to do this using the lot #. Susan Grant

    3. Hello Cheerful Doug, I don't think we are Wintrips, but our family followed the same migration pattern and I have always wondered why. We are the Creamers from Bathurst, NB  and from PEI before that and St. John, NB before that.   My grandmother, Mary Gertrude Creamer married my grandfather, Edward James Myers, in Calais, Maine.   About 1888 they followed other family members to Vancouver, BC.   They worked in the woods in NB and PEI, and also as ship carpenters.   They worked in the woods around Vancouver. I have wondered what or who was the connection that brought them from NB to BC.   I also wondered how they got there.   Was there a train? I am interested in any information you have and will share anything I get. Thanks,      Dave Myers,   Guadalupe, Arizona, USA On 2/7/2019 8:39 AM, GEORGE WILSON via CAN-NB-NORTHUMBERLAND wrote: > is anyone related to my wintrip family who went to Canada british columbia please get in touch please > > cheers Doug > > _______________________________________________ > Email preferences: http://bit.ly/rootswebpref > Unsubscribe https://lists.rootsweb.com/postorius/lists/can-nb-northumberland@rootsweb.com > Privacy Statement: https://ancstry.me/2JWBOdY Terms and Conditions: https://ancstry.me/2HDBym9 > Rootsweb Blog: http://rootsweb.blog > RootsWeb is funded and supported by Ancestry.com and our loyal RootsWeb community

    1. [CAN-NB-NORTHUMBERLAND] Cassidy(s) of Burnt Church area
    2. jeremy
    3. Hello, I have been researching my family tree for many years, and have hit brick wall after brick wall with certain name(s). There are conflicting stories in the family about who ancestors are, so I am trying to prove everything by records. Some say a Mackie connection regarding eloping ( W F Ganong makes a statement in one of his writings ). John Cassidy (born pictou,NS around 1797 or 1798) and Mary Anderson ( born oak point/burnt church, NB around 1808 ). These are my ancestors, they had a son William Anderson Cassidy who married Jane Charlotte Vanadestine. I am trying to find birth records for both people (one would be NS for sure), a marriage record for them around 1825 as the story says. I have records of their children, so I know they existed and lived in the area. If you have any information, or copies of records, that would be great. I have checked everywhere I can think of, I have contacted the United Church of Canada, and they say they have no records that far back. I have contacted the NBGS and they say they certainly don't have records of those names. I'm hoping someone here can help. thanks in advance Jeremy
