Hi All, Anyone have this couple in their data base. TIA. 49. REBECCA10 CROCKER (RUTH9 CHIPMAN, HOPE8 HOWLAND, ELIZABETH7 TILLEY, JOHN6, ROBERT5, WILLIAM4 TYLLE, THOMAS3 TILLY, HENRY2, MR.1)7 was born in Barnstable, Barnstable, Ma. Dec.10, 1697. She married JEDUTHAN ROBBINS in Barnstable, Barnstable, Ma., Oct.22, 1718. JEDUTHAN was born in Plymouth, Plymouth, Ma. April 23, 1694. JEDUTHAN 8 was the son of JEDUTHAN ROBBINS and HANNAH PRATT. JEDUTHAN died Dec.15, 1740 in Plymouth, Plymouth, Ma., at 46 years of age. His body was interred Spring 1741 in North Carver, Plymouth, Ma., Lakenham Cemetary. NOTES FOR JEDUTHAN ROBBINS: His will is dated Nov. 26, 1740; proved Dec. 23, 1740. His will mentions a wife, Rebecca, and my aged mother. NOTES FOR REBECCA CROCKER: ( Barnstable Ma. Records ) Marriage record gives her name as Rebecca Robbins which is evidently a mistake. The settlement of her father's ( Eleazer Crocker ) estate, Oct. 2, 1724, mentions a daughter, Rebecca Robbins. > Subject: Re: Robinson Crocker of St Stephen NB > Date: 10 Feb 2002 06:50:05 -0700 > From: ronnyr@nb.sympatico.ca > New England Historic Genealogical Register (vol 2, 1848), called First Settlers of Barnstable, Cape Cod, Massachusetts. George A. Crocker's father was Rowland, a son of Rowland and his first wife Jane Bartley/Bartlett, one of the two brothers from St Stephen. > > Rowland, son of Robinson, was the ggg-grandson of William Crocker who settled in Barnstable, MA. Another descendant of William's, his great-grandson Daniel, moved the Yarmouth, Nova Scotia in the mid-1760s. Daniel had two wives and 20 or so children. Descendants of which also ended up in New Brunswick. So the Miramichi/St Stephen Crockers definitely had relations in Nova Scotia. > > Hope this helps. > > Marcie > > ______________________________ > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > Subject: Re: Robinson Crocker of St Stephen NB > Date: 10 Feb 2002 11:39:20 -0700 > From: mcrocker@adelphia.net > To: CAN-NB-CHARLOTTE-L@rootsweb.com > > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: Crocker, Berry, Andrews, Dorcas, Hanson > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/wNC.2ACE/1078.2.2.1 > > Message Board Post: > > Ron, > > Thanks so much about the information on the article in the New England Historic & Genealogical Register, I'll have to look it up, as well as the "Irish Lumber Kings". > > I also found the "Dictionary of Miramichi Biography" to be very useful.
