Ireland and Martha Crangle / Krangle, b. Maine. So Martha Crangle would fit the generation of your Michael Crangle. They could have been brother and sister. My info states that Martha was born in Maine but I think they lived right on the line between New Brunswick and Maine. I have a copy of a letter written by Michael Daly to his son Peter A. Daly. It is from Milltown, N.B. and dated 8 May 1898. It sounds as if Michael's wife, Martha Crangle, has died before this because he mentions Bridget and Mary taking care of him. Michael and Martha had several children, siblings to Peter A. but I do not know the names of all of them. But I have a letter written to Peter A. from his sister who became a nun and was called Sister Mary Philippa. It was written 25 August 1895 from Notre Dame Academy, Washington Street, Roxbury, MA. Her given name -- or the name of another sibling - was Alice. She also mentions an Annie that sounds like it is another sibling. Annie apparently was married to someone named George and lived in Butte, Montana.
