Surnames: SMITH MOULTON TOWLE Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/wNC.2ACE/1120 Message Board Post: Looking for descendants of William Smith/Smyth who married Huldah Towle/Toal in St. Stephen at Christ Church on January 9, 1831. Huldah Towle Smith died about May 5, 1844 and was eulogized in the parish register by Rev. Noah Desbrow. I know of 3 surviving children of this couple: Elizabeth b. abt 1831 d. after 1880 and may have been brain damaged, James William Smith b. Feb. 29, 1840 d. Jan. 14, 1915 in Aberdeen, WA, USA and "Mrs. H. Hilton of Boston", whose first name is not known to me but was mentioned in James William Smith's obituary in the St. Croix Courier issue of Jan. 28, 1915 as his surviving sister. James William Smith married Mary E. Moulton (daughter of Cutting Moulton and Mary Towle) June 13, 1861 in Charlotte County and they lived in St. James parish before moving to Saginaw, Michigan about 1872 and then to Washington state. James Smith's sister, Elizabeth Smith, lived with them at least through the 1880 census in Michigan but may have died there. Any con! nections? Jackie Feldman Sammamish, WA
