"Elias Wright - "Of New York, was a grantee at Saint John and became a magistrate. Died at Beaver Harbour, 1825 Aged 76". This Elias Wright, being a magistrate, would have performed marriages in the area for Beaver Harbour and Pennfield, and surrounding areas prior to his Death in 1825. They would not have burned in the two fires, as Elias Wrights house was the only one left standing. He would have performed the Quaker marriages, as well as other denominations. I am looking for his records of Marriages he performed. Could someone tell me where I might find them please! Julia

Unfortunately, I have also seen her name .. written as Lucy McDONALD .. And, from what I hear .. those two names were .. interchangeable ... during those years. The Great Potato Famine happened right around 1850 .. which means that my ancestors were there before yours. But, it might help your research .. to know that. My other great-grandparents were from a KERR family .. from Ireland.. who came over in 1825 ... first wave of Irish immigrants .. before.. the Famine.
