I have added another story donated by Barry L. Hatt to the 'Newspaper Stories' page. It is entitled 'Original Day Adventures'. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I have added a picture of the J. Sutton Clark store in St. George, in 1896 to the 'Historical Pictures' page. I have added the following obits to the following cemeteries; line 10-St. George Rural-Old-Part 2- Seelye, Ida line 11-St. George Rural- New-Barrett, Virginia line 25-Index to Catholic Cemetery-Henry, Sterling I also have a little problem with one of the projects that I would like to complete in my lifetime :-). G. Christian Larsen has allowed me the use of a survey map, that encompasses the front street of St. George, NB in 1870. The map is approx. 2 & 1/2 by 3 feet. I have tried scanning it and piecing it together, cannot get the pieces to fit. I have now made letter size copies of it, taking 23 to get all the info. Does anyone have any ideas for actually putting this thing back together? I have programs iPhoto Plus 4 and Paint Shop Pro 5. But I would need detailed instructions as to work with these. Thanks for your time and if anyone has any ideas, please e-mail me off list at gamel@nbnet.nb.ca Thank you.. Surnames: Kaglar/Kagler, Watson, Dean, Noble Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/wNC.2ACE/1118 Message Board Post: We have located a death certificate for a Charles Noble WATSON who died on November 6, 1924 in St. George (St. George Parish, Charlotte County, New Brunswick. He was buried in St. George but came to the are from Nova Scotia and resided with the Gustavis and Christiana (Dean?) KAGLER/KAGLAR family. In the 1901 census he was listed as a lodger with the family. He worked as a quarryman and his date of birth was listed as October 5, 1876. His origin was shown to be Scotch and he had come from Nova Scotia. "Christie", born July 1, 1852 was shown as the wife of Agustus KAGLAR. She too was from Nova Scotia. Charles' death certificate shows his origin to be Irish and that he was born in Nova Scotia. His father's name was listed as Alex WATSON and his mother's name was listed as Annie (?) NOBLE. Both of their birth places were shown as Pictou, Nova Scotia. In the obituary of Christie KAGLAR, Charles WATSON (WESTON) was listed as an adopted son. On Charles Noble WATSON's death certificate Wm. George KAGLAR (son of Gustavis and Christie) was shown as the "informant" and his relationship to the deceased was listed as "cousin". As I am presently researching the KAGLAR family tree I would be interested in finding out the "story" behind Charles and what his ture relationship was to the family. This query has also been posted on the Pictou, Nova Scotia message board.

I'm trying to find out any and all information on this couple. John King was born in Calais (?), ME ABT 1857 and he married Lavina J Montgomery on 13 June 1880 in Calais (Marriage is in the VR of Calais, Maine Prior to 1892 - she is listed in these records as Lovina and Lovina J). His parents were Hezekiah & Jerusha (Cole) King. Apparently, John died on or about 30 May 1896 because he is on the Calais Cemetery Index (CCI) as being buried there on 4 June 1896 in Block 80, Lot 6. I'm not sure where he died. Lavina J (Montgomery) King is not listed on the CCI, but she is on the Calais Cemetery Card (as Lavena) for Block 80, Lot 6 with no date of burial. I do not know who Lavina's parents are/were or where and when she was born/died. If someone has information on this couple, I would very much appreciate hearing from you. Thank you very much for whatever assistance you may be able to provide.

Can SKS do a lookup/acquire a copy of an OBIT for Robert King? If SKS is going to the Saint Andrews Archives or the St. Croix Library in St Stephen, could you please look at the Saint Croix Courier microfilm for Robert's OBIT in November 1988. I'm assuming he died in Canada, but I'm not sure. I cannot find him in the SSDI or the Maine Death Index. Thank you very much for whatever assistance you may be able to provide.

Earle is my father; and I, too, have been on the trail of the Pendleton story for some years. My folklore says he hailed from the USA; Penn., perhaps. Grandmother, Eugenia Gray "SNOW",Pendleton/Hardy may have hailed from St Andrews area; but Deer Island, though; I think. The "Pendleton" connection reportedly cut she and the children off after the death of Mr. T P; her first husband. She singlehandedly supported the children as a siverware rep until she married Mr John Forman Hardy years later, who I know as granfather. Bessie and Boyd were quite elder to my father. Boyd committed suicide as a young man. My father deduced from an old letter written by his mother that Mr. P was also his father. I've been unable to find any supporting documentation. Pendleton's Island has ben mentioned to me before, so maybe there is a connection. It's only curiousity with me. Mr. Forman Hardy was a saint and my only earthly hero. I trace my ancestry back to Africa from where all humanity hailed. The 1800's is by comparison a very miniscule spot on the'microposym'......... Nice reading your info for Karin, my niece. Would sure like to be kept in mind if any bits emerge. Thanks, David

He emigrated to Bocabec, St. Patrick Parish in 1820. Was living with his sister, Catharin Lowden in 1851. He does not show up in the 1861 census, so evidently died between 1851 and 1861. I suspect that he might be the father of Robert Bell and John Bell who emigrated to Bocabec in 1826 at the ages of 25 and 14 respectively. I'm also interested in where in Ireland they emigrated from. Any comments would be welcome.
