    3. What are the source records for the Grand Manan Marriages 1791-1929? I found a listing for M 2/11/1831 JOY,DANIEL GLEVENSOULOR, Jane ? . Daniel Joy b: Eastport 6/1/1800 d: Lubec 3/20/1881 is not listed in 1820/1830 US Census, but the 1850 US Census has: Daniel Joy 50 M Fisherman $200 RE Born ME Martha " 40 F Born NB Andrew J" 20 M Seaman Born NB Uriah C " 13 M Born ME in school Daniel " 9 M Born ME in school Solomon M" 8 M Born ME in school William Ingols 27 M Seaman Born NB Eli... " 18 F Born NB in school There were 2 Daniel's in Lubec the other Daniel (G) married in Maine. I had thought Martha's maiden name was Ingals/Ingols/Ingalls based on the 1850USC. I have Andrew Jackson Joy's birth as 7/25/1830. Thank's for adding these marriages. I wonder if this is my Daniel Joy. I think I need to view the source. 2. Charlene Beney
    3. I have finally managed to photo copy, scan, and to piece together a survey plan entitled "Plan-Part of the Estate of Annie E. Thomson". I had lots of help and advice from a lot of people and I'm very grateful for that. I wish it looked a little more professional but I'm just happy I finally have it finished and uploaded. I want to especially thank G. Christian Larsen for allowing me to borrow and work with this document. It is so fascinating as it shows part of the Main Street of St. George, NB as of 1870. What a treasure! You will find it third on the list on the St. George Historical Notes page. Enjoy! Charlene Beney--co-ordinator for St. George, NB Parish Pages http://www.rootsweb.com/~nbpstgeo/

Surnames: Pomery/Peirce Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/wNC.2ACE/266.1 Message Board Post: Tom - I'm doing research on the Loyalists of Pownalborough area and found your Benjamin on 2 lists I have. My Clarks lived nearby in what is now Alna. Have you seen The Documentary History of the State of Maine, V. 13 - a 1766 census for P. & in The Maine Siene (Me Hist Soc pub) w/a list of men in 1771(1777?)? Pomeroys & Pierces are on these lists. It looks like they were in Wiscasset area. The town of Pownalborough wasn't recated until 1760 so York Co. records might also be of help. Since Pomeroys ended up in St. Andrews, they might have been part of the congregation of Rev. Jacob Bailey (in the Dresden area). Carlows of Dresden & of his church ended up in St. Andrews. There were two ships called the Spring fleet and the Fall fleet, denoting when they went there that might help. Your Pomeroys are there early. My Clarks were there in 1733, at Newcastle first. Where do you live? I used to teach this and have done a good bit of research in area. Perhaps I can hel! p. Jan
