Surnames: Allen, Pomeroy, Hamilton Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/wNC.2ACE/870.874 Message Board Post: Do you have the names of James and Sarah's children? I am looking for the parents and/or siblings of William N. Allen (born ca 1844) and Elizabeth (Allen) Pomeroy (born ca. 1847), two siblings who emigrated to Wisconsin and died there. Their mother's maiden name may have been Hamilton. Elizabeth and William appear in the 1920 census as living together in Marathon County Wisconsin and they were both buried in Marathon County. The census indicates that William emigrated around 1855 and was naturalized in 1865. Elizabeth was married to Robert Pomeroy (b. 1844) who died in Wisconsin at an earlier date than she. In the 1880 census Elizabeth was living in Shawano County, Wisconsin and lists her parents as being from New Brunswick and herself as born in New Brunswick. Do these two siblings link up with your Allens?
