I have added two more historical pictures of St. George, NB and surrounding areas. The first is a picture of John Dewar and Sons store. The second is of the Bonny River House in Bonny River. It was owned and operated by T. A. Sullivan. It burned in the great fire of 1903. You can find these under the "Historical Pictures' section of my main page. I would like to thank Jill, from Image Express Ltd. who edited all the pictures and put them on CD and Rick Doucett, owner of Image Express Ltd. in St. George who provided the copies of all the pictures. Hi everybody, I just wanted to let you all know that I've updated the parish pages for St. Stephen. Its a bigger update than the usual these days. I was fortunate enough to get some time off from work so I got quite a bit accomplished. This update includes: The first ten pages of the 1871 census for St. Stephen parish, district I (listed under census & directories); Upper Mills church and cemetery history (listed under churches & cemeteries); St. Stephen Enlargement Act, 1813 (listed under historical & biographies); 1785 Saw Mill Dispute (also listed under historical & biographies); Ryder Genealogy (listed under genealogies) I'm still working on the 1901 census and there's still 60 more pages of the 1871 census so keep a lookout for future updates. I hope to get more posted soon, but work and the quickly approaching summer break for my son may hinder my work a little. Have patience with me. <smile> Kacy Dodwell Co-ordinator, St. Stephen Parish www.rootsweb.com/~nbststep/

I believe Lavonia Z Nason was my Great Great Grandmother. About all have to go on are the Loyalist Desendants of NB and family records. Robert Saunders was born in Scotland 1798. Came to NB in 1820(1851 cenus).Married Jane Tremble. James Saunders was born in 1838 but no indication of where. James Saunders was married to Lavonia Nason in Calais, Washington Co; ME. (Vital Records of Calais,ME.) Maybe Robert Saunders lived in Maine for a time.James and Lavonia had 4 children. 1.Minnie Mae Saunders (my Great Grandmother)2.Fred Saunders 3. Bradford Lorne Saunders 4.James Warrie Saunders. Minnie and Fred had no place of birth but James and Bradford showed NB. So I guess its possible for James Saunders to be born in Maine. Did you know about Lavonia Nason,s mother being Susannah Bradford. Going back to William Bradford. Thanks again for the info. John McLay

It came up under the name TEED. (with the brackets around Tidd) Interesting! This item was from the UEL Vo.5,No.Jan 1986, Hfx-Dartmouth. It says Dwain Teed, 1043-58th St. Edmonton,AB is looking for the parens names of his g.g. grandfather Charles Teed (Tidd). It says Charles was born between l795-1803 in either NS or NB and died between 1861 and 1871.M. Elizabeth and had 8 children. Charles Teed (born Tidd) is registered in the 1851 and 1861 census at Shediac River, N.B. This is probably not your guy but we thought it interesting. We also phoned Anita Grearson, a local historian, and she was familiar with the name TIDD...although she checked her records and could not find that burial for James in her list of the old cemetery. She said all the TIDDS she ever knew in this area (Charlotte Co.) came from Beaver Harbour. We looked in the phone book and there were two: I phoned a Mr. Tidd and he was kind enough to give me the phone number of his father, Mr. Gary TIDD, PHONE NUMBER 506-456-2533 and he said he was knowledgeable of the family and would speak with you. This man's father is Gary, his grandfather was Charlies & grandmother Lizzie TIDD. All living....at Beaver Harbour. I told him to tell his Dad to expect a phone call. Good Luck. Barb Craig

The info on this site is wonderful and will connect your Thomas Parker from NJ with the Campobello Parkers. I found that my Caroline Beatty was a Parker, daughter of Thomas. She married John Beatty on Feb. 16, 1825 in Campobello. I am still trying to find information on John Beatty - where he was born etc. I believe that the Beatty family were loyalists as were the Parkers. Hope this helps, as I said it is a wonderful site. By the way the informtion you want is in vol. 1.
