Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/wNC.2ACE/1016.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Jerry Gower has discovered that Prudence is t6he widow of the Penob Loyalist, Samuel. We too would like to know who the Whitney she married was. We do have the 1784 Return info. Jerry also came up with a 1783 "Loyalty" list, apparently made in Penobscot area before the Loyalist migration, which includes Samuel, and two other over 16, with three under 16. You might also be interested in the "Thorndike Petition" of the Bagaduce (Castine) area -- which ties into these Trotts. It's online. Sarah Bradford seems almost certainly to be one of the daughters. Another source says she was sister to Susannah (supposed to have been a member at Oak Bay Baptist, and lived in Bayside -- love to get more info on her. The same source also says a third sister or half-sister "polly" married "Mr. Pettigrove." This may be Eliza Jane who married Benjamin Pettigrove, but she seems a bit too young. Clearly we're following the same trails. Keep in touch. Jim

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/wNC.2ACE/1016.1.1 Message Board Post: I have a transcription of a list of Penobscot Loyalists dated July 30, 1784. Among the men there are: Trott, Sam'l Mott [Trott?], John Jun Among the women: Trott, Prudence Trott, Sarah Trott, Susannah Among the Children above 10: Trott, Lydia Trott, John Trott, James (these three all together) Among the Children under 10 (2 separate groups): Trott, Samuel Trott, Mary Trott, Daniel Trott, Sam'l Trott, Josiah Trott, Susannah I also have a transcription of early All Saints Anglican Church records from St. Andrews. This says that a Sara Trott married a Joshua Bradford on Dec. 14, 1809. This could have been the Sarah Trott who was the widow of John, or else a daughter of one of the Trott families, born after 1784. There is also a marriage for Prudence Trott to a man for whom only one name is given: Whitney. Could be last name or first name. The original records are very hard to read. They were married Dec. 4, 1793.

    2. Charlene Beney
    3. I have added a "What's New" page to the St. George, NB Parish page. If you click on that, it will take you to the links with the new info on them. I have added obits, a link to the Greenspoint Lighthouse, L'Etete,NB website, click on 'Museum' and it will take you to a wonderful account of its history. I have also added the years 1859, 1860, and 1860 to Anglican baptisms. As a matter of interest, some of the locations for those years include St. George, Pennfield, St. Patricks, Dumbarton, Lepreaux, Lancaster Saint John, St. Andrews, Washington USA, Nova Scotia, West Isles, so do not think they only contain information about St. George, NB. You may miss something. A sad note, there were two sets of twins baptized in 1861. Hugh and Corina Russell were 17 days old when they were baptized, but in the 1861 census of St. George, NB, we only find Hugh aged six mos.
