Well.....I have just finished and uploaded the above index. As you can see, all of the names are not linked because I have not finished the actual census as of yet. And as I estimate it, it seems to be taking me forever!! Anyway, sorry I cannot do look-ups because that would just slow me down more. I have followed the index as the Charlotte County Archives has it written, any corrections will probably have to wait. Thanks... In 1785 Calvin Kidder left southern NH and traveled to St. Stephen, NB. In 1798, he married Miss or Mrs. Mary Mercy GREENLAW from St. Andrews, NB. They lived their short married life in his residence in St. Stephen. Their only child was born in January 1799. Not 3 weeks later, Calvin was killed in a boating accident on the Schoodiac River. The son's name was J. Calvin Kidder. We don't know what happened to the widow, Mrs. Mary Kidder. The next we hear from their son, Calvin is turning 18 and signing a document in St. Stephen. At Age 30 he moved over to Calais, ME. In 1834, he married Mary Jane WILKINS from Amity, ME. Calvin and Mary Kidder had 7 children. ..... Their son, Joseph Kidder, married Clarissa WILKINS in 1868. She was the daughter of George F. and Mary Ann WILKINS ... then living in Canterbury, NB. Both Mary Jane and George were born in or near Amity, ME, between 1800 and 1815. I would like to know whether they were siblings or cousins, and who their parents were. We know nothing about the GREENLAW family which Mary Mercy belonged to. ..... Calvin's descendants mostly settled in or near Princeton, ME, as did many Greenlaw families. We do not know .. if they all knew each other ... prior to 1800, but it's entirely possible. I have a lot of information on the Kidder families in northern ME. But, there is a lot of information about the marriages of these Kidder families (1785 to present) which I am missing.

I was wondering if you have across the name, Miss or Mrs. Mary Mercy Greenlaw. A researcher finally found out last summer ... that our elusive CALVIN KIDDER had married in July 1798 in St. Andrews, NB, to the above lady. I believe his residence was in St. Stephen, NB. She was probably from a St. Andrews family. Calvin Kidder was born in 1765 in New Ipswich, NH, and traveled to St. Stephen around 1785. We don't know how he spent ... 1785 to 1795. Calvin and Mary Kidder's only child was born in January 1799. Not 3 weeks later (in Feb.) .. Calvin was killed in a mailboat accident on the Schoodiac River. We have ..no.. further information on the widow, Mrs. Mary Kidder. The next we hear from her son is when he turns 18 in St. Stephen. He was J. Calvin Kidder (1799-1891). We also have ..no.. information on which GREENLAW family in New Brunswick ... Mary Mercy... came from. A good guess is that she was born between 1765 and 1780.

Where does your family show up in some city and what is the time frame, who are the family members. My Canadian Morse lines of interest are from Charlotte Co., New Brunswick, Canada. One John Morse of Grand Manan in about 1802.Many of this family removed to Washington Co., ME area about 1845.
