The James you mention is my Grandfather and the Mrs R.P. Affleck though I never new her I new her family. In fact ended up buying a farm from them in 1946. They lived on the adjoining farm to Grampa's in Wood Bay. Wood Bay was so small people often gave Pilot Mound as were they were from so could find were they lived. Its still a pretty vague search looking back than. I'm at a bit of a handy cap searching my fathers family as Daddy died before I was a year old so all I knew of therm is what he had told Mother and she passed on to us. It seams to me that there must of been schools in Winnipeg at that time and some records should be left intact. I know an uncle of mine was able to prove his age for Old Age Pention's and it was a country school he attended in the 1890's. Thanks for your interest and if You find anything on those Wpg Schools I'd appreciate hearing about that. Bothn Grampa and Gramma were in wpg in 1878 Grampa filed om his holmstead in Nov 1878 at Wood Bay. Thet were married in Wpg Feb 2 1880 and my father was born Dec 6 1880. They were getting on in years so lost no time in getting started. Hugh
