The two boys aged abou 5yrs and possibly twelve years were sent from "White Russia" probably leaving the port of Danzig about 1890. I believe they were un-accompanied (Orphans ?). I also believe they lived and worked on a farm in the Winnipeg area. I do not know the name of the ship what they arrived in or the port of arrival. The elder brother ran off to the US some time later (Year unknown) and to date his relatives have not been traced although I am working on this. Ludwig also left Canada to the US possibly about 1900 + and it is known he joined the merchant marine possibly shipping out of Pittsburg. Can anyone help in locating immigration or other lists to assist the search. Ludwig later joined the British Army in WW1 and we have his discharge papers in 1919 as birth place "Plotz" I cannot find that town/village - but as they were young children and probably didn't speak english when arriving in Canada it could have been "Plock" which is now Polish but was Russian. Really looking forward to help. Kindest regards, Jim Trauntner.
