Hello A couple of years ago I was in Winnipeg and managed to find the Obit of my Great Grandfather, Joseph Sinclair ORR. The obit was in the Winnipeg Free Press on March 30, 1912 and there was a picture of him with it. We tried every which way when we photocopied the obit to get a decent copy of the photo as we have no photos of this Great Grandfather. It just would not produce a decent copy. Would anybody have a clue as to whether or not there is any archives kept for the WINNIPEG FREE PRESS as I would like to try & get a copy of this photo. Also could somebody please tell me where I might access information regarding CUSTOMS HOUSE in Winnipeg. According to his obit Joseph Sinclair ORR worked there for 29 years. He also was a member of GRACE METHODIST CHURCH and was a member of the Royal Temple of Temperance and of the Court Garry or Fort Garry No 2 CANADIAN ORDER OF FORESTERS for 25 years. Any idea how I might contact these organizations in Winnipeg. I imagine the Royal Temple of Temperance has gone by the wayside but the others may still be around. Can anybody help with any or all of these. Thanks for any help.
