Most major Canadian newspapers are available on microfilm at local city or university libraries across the country. If your local library doesn't have the one that you are interested in, they will be able to get it by interlibrary loan. For example, both the Calgary Public and University of Calgary libraries have microfilm copies of the Free Press. In Fort Saskatchewan, they are not available except by interlibrary loan. The cost associated by ILLs is either minimal or absorbed by the library.
