    3. Hello Carol, My name is Mary Turvey and I am the one who needed an address on Knox Church. Thank you very much for adding it to the site. My husband's grandmother was a twin to a Rev. Franklin Small who pastored Old Knox Church for many years in the early 1900's. I am trying to trace the line of John Herbert Gillson, b. 1870 in Collingwood, Ontario and m. 1894 to Frances Small, the twin to Rev. Franklin Small. John Herbert and Frances moved into Winnipeg about 1900, they had 4 children and John simply disappeared around 1908 or so..leaving his wife and 4 children. Frances' obit claims he died around 1907..yet..his children were told he had left?? Frances is buried in Elmwood Cemetary in Winnipeg. She d. in 1937. How can I check to see if maybe John did die and is buried in Elmwood? I live in Michigan (the U.S.A.) and am fairly new to genealogy. Would be most grateful for any leads on our elusive John Herbert..not to be confused with his son also named John Herbert, b. 1896 in Ontario. Thank you and happy hunting fellow genealogist.
