I did find the only woman listed in my gene CD for Can Mrs RPAffleck living in 1901 at WoodBay, Selkirk MBcensus but nothing at all for Jane. there is also a John in the biz dir. in Portage le Prairie in 1901, clerk. and a James Masson living 1901 Pilot Mound, Selkirk MB in biz dir. possible family? The ist public school in Wnpg,1871, was a tiny thatch roof bldg a former store, ist teacher W>F>Luxton.Deaf and Dumb school founded 1890.Medical college opened 1884.St Boniface college began 1880 burnt 1922.founder Father/Bishop Provencher.Anglican college 1850 became part of U of MB 1871.Hischool classes held in elementary schools sinc e1882 various locations, no names given.Fort Rouge school, 1891.Most of the bldgs no longer exist.Possible U of MB has school histories or some museum in Wnpg.
