Or any easy way to find a particular street? I'm looking for my relatives, one at 637 William Avenue and the other at 66 Furby Street, both of which were in Ward 4 on the 1901 census. I've looked through well over a hundred pages in Ward 4 and still can't find the streets. Is the only approach a page by page search of each and every street in the ward? If someone has a better way, please let me know. Thanks so much.     3. If you take today map of Winnipeg and line up the Railway Lines and the two rivers and major streets you should be able to fine the ward. To find Furby St. on the map. There is a U shaped loop on the Assiniboine River where there are a few streets in a gated community. Furby St. starts there. Your address should be with in the first block after the river, since all address in Winnipeg are numbered from the rivers. And if you go straight up Furby St. at Norte Dame the street will slant. Half way between there and the railway lines is William Avenue. Rose-Emma Laferte mariée à Séraphin Joseph Labelle le 14/08/1872 à Notre-Dame à Montréal Sophie Laferte (n. 1839) (Grocer) mariée à Jules Dufour(n. 1839) le 30/06/1875 à Notre-Dame à Montréal. Sophie et Jules ont un fils, Xavier (n. 1862) qui a 19 ans en 1881 (Cobbler) François-Xavier Laferte marié à Émilie Lapierre le 10/11/1858 à Montréal. Joseph Provost est décédé avant 1909 Ces individus sembles être les seuls Laferté à Montréal à cette époque.
