Hi again: Unfortunately I did not get a chance to check all the names that I received requests for in six hours at the library. I will try to get back up to the University next Sunday to check the rest. Originally I had planned on entering all the deaths found on the page on the Winnipeg BDM exchange. However, I have had the most wonderful two weeks and have made what appears to be breakthroughs on five different dead ends and made a promising contact on another. One of the people I think we found a marriage for (waiting for Scottish certificate to confirm) my mother has been looking for for about 8 years the last four with my assistance. Another in my Kirkaldie line (that English cousins said disappeared from the face of the earth) found on an index for the 1870 San Francisco Census. If this shows the son born in Germany I think it will I will finally be able to tie into the American Kirkaldies (currently more listed there then any where else in the world). Anyway the results of my resent winfalls mean I will be tied up with my own research for a while. So I would like to request that everyone who I found a record for enters all the deaths shown on the page on the BDM exchange. If for any reason you are unable to do so please let me know and I will do it. Records start in June 1888. Prior to W.W.II very few deaths are recorded. Paper states the obit cost 50 cents. Remember this was a lot in those days and especially during depression could be the difference in whether or not they ate that day. Both Hilton entries one of three that day and obits implied above average income. Some obits mixed in with social news and may have been missed.
