Dear Listers, Here are my interests in Winnipeg. I am looking for newspaper articles on the death of my brother. He died on the street after being hit in the face by another person. He died September 4, 1992. I am also interested in his obituary. Another interest I have in Winnipeg is newspaper articles regarding my great Grandmother. She apparently got dragged by a streetcar from one stop to the other. She wore long skirts and it got caught in the retractable step. This would have been in the 1950's. She died February 15th 1962 in Illinois but I am sure that there would have been some kind of notice in the Winnpeg paper at that time as she had lived there for a number of years. The reason that I am unable to look those things up for myself is that we do not have an FHC here on the little island that I live on. It is off the west coast of British Columbia, it takes a ferry ride to Victoria to get to an FHC and the cost and the time is quite prohibitive. Any help in either of these two matters would be appreciated. If you maybe just keep these things in mind when you are looking for your own stuff you never know you might just hit the right days.
