Greetings, I am trying to locate some of the descendants of Fred and Maggie Brown, who want to exchange information on our ancestors. Fredric Joseph Brown, (1869 - 1945) married Margaret Finlay (1875 - 1951), and they had 8 children. Fred was the son of Zachariah and Elizabeth Brown, and was a stone mason, by trade. Around 1894, Zachariah and Elizabeth Brown, with their 12 children, emigrated from Proton Township, Grey County, Ontario, to Killarney, Manitoba. This is where Fred built many homes, barns, from the natural stone found there. Fred and Maggie moved to Winnipeg, and lived at 305 King Edward Street, for many years. In fact there was a Brown listed in the Winnipeg phone book, as late as the middle 1990's, at this same address. My grandfather was Robert (Bob) Brown, elder brother to Fred.
