I am researching my ggrandparents who both lived a number of years in Manitoba near Winnipeg in the Rockwood Stonewall area. Both families came from Ontario in the later half of the 19th century. My ggrandfathers name was William James MANNING and he married Elizabeth SEWERS in Rockwood in 1884. My grandfather Wesley George MANNING and his brother and sisters were born in this area before the family moved to B.C. in approximately 1905. If these names are familiar to anyone or if anyone can give me the name of any source material information (ie. books etc.) about the area during this period of time I would be most appreciative.
