    1. Re: [CAN-MB-WINNIPEG-L] Birth Marriage Obit Lookups
    2. Jacki Humphrey: I'm new to this list and also to genealogy. I also have Canadian roots from Winnipeg. When you have time, I would appreciate you looking up grandparents in the death notices. My grandfather, Elia Slobodian died June 18, l947 and my grandmother, Evdokia Slobodian died June 5, l939, both in Winnipeg. My paternal grandparents, ANTONIW, their gravestones do not have a month nor day only the year. Their names are in Ukranian and I can't read them, but I think his was Theodore and hers was Dora. He died in l945 and she died l948. An e-mail angel sent me a copy of the Hamburg passenger list in which my grandparents and father were on it. The name was spelled ANTONOW. I know it's impossible to look when you don't even have a month to go by, but in looking for others and you come across an Antoniw/Antonow please tell me. I will be very grateful Gail Anthony Davis, Santa Maria, California sivad@thegrid.net HUMPHREY JACKI wrote: > > I was pleased to see a Winnipeg list get started as this is where my > Canadian roots are from.
