Hello Judi, Mitchell: His Worship, Mayor Irwin L., Chemist. Born at Stonewall, Man., 1882. Son of Andrew R. and Jane (Story) Mitchell. Married Margaret Marnie. Has one son and four daughters. Was educated at Stonewall Public and High Schools, Manitoba College of Pharmacy. Father came to Manitoba in 1871; a contractor for many years; settled in Stonewall before its incorporation; sometime Trade Instructor at Stony Mountain Penitentiary. Mayor Mitchell graduated in 1907, clerked for Harrison Bros. of Winnipeg, came to Roblin in 1909, and purchased the drug business of James Green. He is an ex-Member of the council of the rural municipality of Shell River; after its incorporation, Mayor, 1913-14-15-16-17; again elected in 1923-24-25, each time by acclamation. Secretary of the School Board for many years. Secretary, Union Church Board since 1910. Member, Masonic Fraternity; Past Worshipful Master, Roblin Lodge, No. 122; Past District Deputy Grand Master, District No. 9. Member, I.O.O.F., Past Noble Grand of Lodge No. 52.
