Hello Connie Weber, I looked through the Manitoba Free Press for the train story that was supposed to involve Samuel Tobin and indeed there was a train crash that happened near the Bonheur station which was 120 miles west of Fort William. First story was on December 18, 1918 and said that sixteen people burned to death in a tourist coach. Second story was on December 20, 1918 on page 6 and page 9, and said there were 14 dead (12 adults and 2 children). Another story was on December 26, 1918. The name Tobin was not included but there were 2 or 3 people that were not identified. I looked for the entire month and could find no obit or mention of either Samuel or Hazel. Just thought you'd like to know. Karen
