Hi, I have a Joseph Allan McGill, b. April 15, 1855 in East Durham, ON, son ot James McGill of Ireland. He came to MB in 1880 and in 1887 moved to Neepawa which is very close to Arden (like 9 miles away). In 1880 he married Susie Wigmore of Norwood and they had four children: Edna, Edith, Frank & Sidney. These are the bare outline and although I don't think this is the one you were looking for, could you let me know please if you want the 'full meal deal' on this fellow. The only McKay in the book is Hector McKay, b. apr 3, 1850 in Oxford Co, Ontario, son of Donald McKay from Scotland. McKay finally settled in Brandon, married Mary Heuston and had one son Donald.
