Hello Judi, Here's the last one. Mitchell: Colonel John Fletcher, Ex-M.L.A., Publisher. President, Winnipeg Printing and Engraving Co., Ltd. Born on the old homestead near the town of Colborne, Northumberland county, Ont., October 12, 1862. Son of Samuel and Esther L. (Sweet) Mitchell. Was educated at the public schools and commercial college. Came to Winnipeg and followed the trade of mechanical engineer, married Sarah A. H., daughter of John R. Mitchell of Omemee, Ont. Has two sons and three daughters. Was an alderman of the City of Winnipeg for some years; represented the constituency of North Winnipeg in the Manitoba Legislature; introduced and carried through the Workman's Compensation Act; in 1912 he assisted in organizing the 100th Winnipeg Light Infantry and was succeeding Major General Benson, K.C.B., the former Honorary Colonel. At the outbreak of the late war he accompanied the regiment to Valcartier and was first Quartermaster of the 10th Battalion. In civil life Colonel Mitchell is President of the Winnipeg Printing and Engraving Co., Ltd. He is a member of the Masonic Fraternity, Past Master of Ionic Lodge, Past Master of King Edward Lodge, Past Grand and Veteran, St. John's Lodge, I.O.O.F. Address, 1176 Main St., Winnipeg, Man.
