Karen: Thanks for the info on Adamson/McKenzie. Unfortunately, these aren't the ones I'm looking for. Which doesn't surprise me, as it was a long shot anyway. The Adamson I'm looking for is James Adamson of Edinburgh, Scotland, m. Margaret Duncan. Moved to Winnipeg probably between 1910 and 1913. They are reputed to have had 14 children, including Anthony Duncan, James, Robert, Alexander, Herbert, Arthur, Grace, Jean, and Meg. The McKenzie is Duncan McKenzie, m. Wilhelmina Fraser, father of Thomas Duncan McKenzie (my grandfather) and Katherine "Kate" McKenzie, wife of Alexander Adamson noted above. Duncan McKenzie was a plumber, and is noted as living in Winnipeg in Lovell's Directory of Manitoba and Northwest Territories for 1900-1901 Thanks again Patrick Nagle
