Called to Manitoba Bar, 1890; created K.C.,1909. Partner, Aikins, Culver & Co., 1890-1892; with ex. Mayor Andrews, 1892-98; Aikins, Culver & Pitblado, re-organized as Aikins, Pitblado, Robson & Loftus, 1900-03. Formed partnership with the late Hon. Colin Campbell, Attorney General of Manitoba, on the death of Mr. Campbell, formed present partnership. Mr. Pitblado was President of the Manitoba Law Society, 1917-20. Bencher since 1901. Appointed Counsel by Dominion Government on investigation by Railway Commission of Telegraph Rates, 1911; appointed Counsel by City of Winnipeg on Freight Rate investigation, 1912. Registrar, Manitoba University, 1893-1900; Member, Manitoba University Council since 1888; Chairman, Board of Governors, Manitoba University, 1917, and to date. Appointed one of the Commissioners for Manitoba on Uniformity of Laws, 1918. President, Manitoba Curling Association, 1910; Vice-President, Canadian Bar Association. Married May Edith Lunn Lazier of Minneapolis, Minn., 1907. Has one one and two daughters. Member, Carleton Club, Manitoba Club, St. Charles Country Club, Canadian Club; President, Canadian Club, 1911. Member, A.F. and A.M., I.O.O.F. Recreation, Golf, curling. Liberal. Presbyterian.
