Hi Karen, I've been in touch with Judy regarding the above. I suspect that the Henderson's you refer to covers a period of time years past. Years ago, a railroad Engineer was one who "drove" a steam locomotive. An Operator probably referred to a Morse Code Operator who sent and received telegraph messages to the public and businesses.
