"The familiar figure of John Eisler, the well known old expressman, will be seen no more around the railway stations or on the streets. He died last evening after a week's illness. The cause of death was cerebriths, which being interperted means a form of paralytic stroke. Mr. Eisler was very well known, for he had been a resident here a long time, and in plying his trade come in contact with very many, and the cherry presence of the old man will be missed in many quarters. He was 60 years of age, and is survived by his widow, five sons and one daughter. The funeral will take place Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the late residence of deceased, 520 Ross street to Brookside."
