"On May 3, 1977 at the Grace Hospital, Mrs. Dorothy M. Swain, aged 82 years, beloved wife of the late William Henry, formerly of 304 Ferry Road. Predeceased by her husband, William Henry in 1976, she leaves to mourn her passing, one daughter, Margery; two sons, Robert and daughter - in - law Phyllis, and Gorden and daughter - in - law Jean, all of Winnipeg; six grandsons, and four great - grandchildren; one sister, Hilda Burton and nice, Margaret Ash, both of Vancouver. Mrs Swain was a long time resident of St. James. She was a Diocesan life member of the W. A. and a member of St. James Anglican church. She was also a active volunteer worker for the Red Cross Scoiety from 1939 until the time of her passing. Funeral service will be held at the St. James Anglican Church, 195 Colleglate St., 1:00 p.m. Friday with Rev. P. W. L. Smith officiating, followed by interment in Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her six grandsons, Keith, William, Donald, Leslie, Edward, and Garry Swain. In lieu of flowres, friends if they so desire, amy donate to the Canadian Cancer Society, of a charity of their choice.
