My ggrandmother spent several years in an orphanage in Winnipeg at the turn of the century. We didn't know the name of it but found it on the website below. It was then called the "Childrens Home of Winnipeg." This was one of the oldest, operating from around 1880 thru 1946. It took a little time but eventually my request was granted and copies of excerpts from the records were sent to me. here is the name and address of the woman I corresponded with.
