    3. Last Spring I picked up a Manotioba Family Services Vital Statistics form "Application for Genealogical Search" which I was told you use to apply for birth/marriage/etc certificate searches. I think I got it at the Manitoba Genealogical Society office. The form doesn't say anything about a long or short certificate. I sent it in several weeks ago....still patiently waiting. I'll be very annoyed if I get a "short" certificate with no useful info.
