Hello Listers: I just joined your list and could use some help. I am researching Patrick GALLAGHER who was a butcher and owned a successful wholesale meat distributorship in Winnipeg in the 1880's until his death in 1901. His sons James Quinn, Cornelius and Patrick GALLAGHER, Jr. took over the business and it eventually merged with Holman and LaFrance Co. I am not sure when this business dissolved, perhaps late 1920's. I am looking for descendants of Patrick GALLAGHER, Sr. and family legend has it that he had quite a large family. I am told that there is a street in Winnipeg named after him - Gallagher Street - so he must have been a respected citizen.. Could someone point me in the right direction where I might find remaining family members perhaps still living in Winnipeg? Any information or help you can offer would be appreciated.
