Looking for information on members of Gunn family who were settlers in Red River Settlement. John 'Cheney' Gunn (pensioner of HM's 78th Regiment) came to Red River about 1823, married to Ann Sutherland and raised 14 children. Names of children are Margaret, Isabella, William, Henrietta, Catherine, Helen, Alexander, Johanna, Ann, Donald, Jerimiah, Mary Ann, and Robert. I am a descendant of Donald but need information regarding John before coming to Red River - and also his father, Alexander (m. Christine Gordon) from Scotland.
