Then found a bibliography of JOHN A. SRATTON - b. in Colborne, Ont, ... married boyhood sweetheart (unnamed) .. brought his mother & other family members out ... younger brother the Rev. W.H. Stratton ... etc. IRA STRATTON : b. in Northumberland County, Ontario in 1865, UEL stock ... teacher... came to Manitobe in 1887 ... taught Rockwood school 1891-1893 .. mother, sisters Barbara & Ethel, & brother Will came to Stonewall, while some other family members went to California, ... editor of Stonewall Argus ... married Mary Oughton in 1911 ... he died in 1943. Their son Wilfred died in 1945; Mrs Stratton moved to BC "where two daughters reside." She died in 1959 ... Any connection ? Maude Bowen Island
