John Henry (Jack) Reid married my mother Nellie Fletcher Brand around 1925. I'd like to find out when the Brands arrived in Wpg, I think it must have been around 1908, from Newcastle England. These were the William Twaddle Brands and there's a possibility that his parents, the John Wouldhave Brands were in Wpg before that time. As far as the Reids go, I have no idea as to my grandparents' names, am waiting a birth cert from VS, Wpg for that. My dad, Jack Reid was in the movie business almost from its beginning, working for United Artists. We move from Wpg to Calgary around 1941 or so when I was an infant.
