There is a photo with this obit. "Mrs. Lydia Mae Mitchell (Nee Seward). aged 88 years, wife of H. G. Mitchell of 689 Home St., passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 5, 1977. She was predeceased by her first husband, John Hermiston in 1954, and will be sadly missed by her husband , Harry; her daughter, Mrs. J. Carmichael (Evelyn), and three sons, Clayton of Victoria, B.C., Loren of Winnipeg, and Jack of Sechelt, B. C., six grandchildren and nine great - grandchildren. Born in Ridgeville, Man., on April 13, she lived in Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario all her life. Mrs. Mitchell was active in and enjoyed various sporting activities. She was an honorary life member and past president of the Civic Caledonia Ladies Curling Club and also a member of the Valor Road Curling Club. She was a member of the West End Lawn Bowling Club, the Greenwood Lawn Bowling Club and the Tuxedo Lawn Bowling Club for many years. Friends may call at the Thomson Funeral Chapels on Sunday, May 8, 1977 from 12:00 to 9:00 p.m.. The service will be held Monday at 3:30 p.m. at Thomson Funeral Chapels, Furby at Broadway. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart Foundation." For information only.
