"On May 5, 1977 at the Misericordia Hospital, Mr. George Ernest Mruphy, beloved husband of the late Irene Murphy formerly of Headingley, Man.. Mr. Murphy was born in Grand Forks, N. D. and came to Canada in 1917. He farmed in the Headingley area since the late twenties. Predeceased by his wife Irene in 1962, and his parents, William and Janet Murphy. Mr. Murphy is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Donna Wiebe of Headingley and Mrs. Shirley Heselwood of Brandon, one sister, Mrs. Ethel Bermner; three brothers, Laurance of St. Laurent, Lloyd of Headingley, and Raymond of Alsea, Oregon; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday in the Park Lawn Chapel, 1858 Portage Ave. with the Rev. S. A. Selby officiating, followed by interment in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the chapel between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening. Arrangements in care of Park Lawn Chapel, Leatherdale - Gardiner St. James. Phone 888 - 7977." For information only.
