I am new to Canadian research and would like to find descendants of Alfred James WILLIAMS. AJ Williams (b. 1903 in Leominster, Herefordshire, ENG) was the son of George WILLIAMS and Clara Elizabeth (nee PARISH) and married to Alice (?). He died near Moncton NB on August 03, 1941 while flying a Hudson aircraft for the Atlantic Ferry Organization. AJ and Alice had a daughter Paulette. At the time of his death Alice and Paulette were living at 180 Ethelbert, Winnipeg. Nothing known about Alice or Paulette since 1941. Born in Leominster, Herefordshire, England, he came to Winnipeg at the age of 21. He was bandmaster of the Army and Navy Veterans' band here for about three years. Captain Williams studied at Stevenson field, obtaining both his private and commercial pilot licences in Winnipeg. In 1932 he moved to Toronto where he was a member of the Toronto Flying club. He left Toronto about two years ago to become an instructor at the Malton, Ont, training school, where he remained for about a year and a half. Can anyone help? Ian S Parrish <parrish@omcs.com.au>
