I am searching for a James Fry, wife Anna who lived in the Winnepeg area in the late 1800's. Known children are James Harrison, Barbara and Suzie. Little else is known about them. James Harrison moved to Wisconsin in the 1880's and married Charlotte Sharp. My mother once told me this story of James Fry: One day I asked my mother if she could tell me anything at all about James Fry. She had been hesitant to talk about him. She finally said she knew a little. When I asked if she knew where he lived she said near WInnepeg, Canada. Then I asked if she knew when he died, and she paused and said yes, right after he shot the other guy! Apparently he and another man were in the logging business together. Then his partner sold some lumber behind my great great grandfather's back. When my gg-grandfather demanded his part of the proceeds the man refused to pay him so in a rage he shot him. As soon as he realized what he had done he turned the gun on himself... I am sorry to say I don't know the other guy's name.. If you have any information about any of the above or can give me ideas on where to look for info I'd appreciate it...
