Uncle John had amassed an extensive family history before his death and travelled to Poland on at least one occasion to meet family there. He and his brother Frank moved to Chicago at the same time before I was born and we saw them when they travelled to Manitoba to visit during summer school vacation with their families. My brother, Ron, who lives in Manitoba and my cousin, Stanley, are more familiar with family history than am I. My father was a younger brother to John and Frank. His name was Peter. Both John and Frank married ladies named Josephine. Frank had two sons, Bob and Richard. I don't remember whether they had any other children. I don't remember the names of Uncle John's children either - Ed and Florence maybe but I'm not certain. Six years ago grandma Chay's family reunion, the Magura Family, was held in Manitoba and I saw Richard and Bob there. I am fifty-five years old and Richard is twenty-one days younger than me. We were friends as kids and he keeps in contact with my older sister and I still send him a Christmas card each year. The Chay family had thirteen children two of which died at birth or in infancy so eleven grew to adulthood. My mother's family had exacly the same number with the same statistics. My mother is alive and living on her own in Manitoba. She is eighty-four. I live in Edmonton in Alberta. I have lived here for twenty-eight years. I am marrid for the second time and have three sons and three grandsons. Please contact me if you have any questions I may be able to help with. Lorraine
