Looking for and employer named Dan M. Johston of Winnipeg. This gentlemen sponsored my father and his family from BOCAR, Banat Yugoslavia. Family name DITTRICH,. He also sponsored another family named BARTL, also from the same town. They both came on the same ship Munchen which landed at Halifax May 31, 1926. He may have been a broker since my fathers family ended up first in Oyen Alberta for three weeks, then moved on to Regina Sask. Apparently both familes came to Canada re the Homestead Act criteria. Trying to fit the pieces together from the time of debarkation to settlement Also to enquire what happened to the 100 Acres of free land that was supposed to be his if he stayed on the property.
