Hi Toni, This is what I have found in "Metis Scrip", JONES, Catherine; HB (half-breed) head; myself and children; widow of Alexander McCORRISTER; born 1795, NWT; John JONES (English) was father; (Indian) was mother; Catherine MCCORRISTER (x); 28 July 1875; John GUNN, farmer; Donald GUNN, farmer (witnesses); It says; Catherine claimed for scrip on 28 July 1875, for her and her children. Her father John was an Englishman and mother an Indian. She signed her name with an x and both GUNNS witnessed the application. In SPRAGUE & FRYE, Edward JONES, Metis; born in Red River Settlement, 1825, married: Maguerite _____, born: RRS, in: 1847 / John JONES, b: 1843, married: Margaret _____, b: 1845 / REV. O. J. JONES, b: 1797 in Europe, married: Mary _____, born: 1802 Edward Jones had some children; Elise JONES, born: c1854 and Marianne JONES, born: c1858 Thats all that is mentioned in these books.
