I just posted the death notice the way is was Printed in the paper. So far the only info that I have is what I posted. Martha Ann Travers, died on December 12, 1928, at the age of 54,and I checked the Vital stats and their is only one Robert Travers, who died in Winnipeg, on February 5, 1916, at the age of 37. The way the death notice is written, I would think that she did die at that address. I would suggest that you check around in some of the papers of that time now that you have the dates and see if you can find anything else. Hope this helps Rosemary

No. 1924-028089 (she is about the only one that would fit for a age is Lily a nick name?) Just remember that not all the names are on the site yet. Now I have another mystery to solve. My mother had a sister, Lily Brand, who died in her twenties in the 1920s and I can't find a record of her death or burial. Can you help me with this one? I have ordered marriage certificates. The ones I have ordered have contained: For the bridegroom and bride - name; age; residence at time of marriage; place of birth; bachelor/spinster or widow; occupation or calling (bridegroom only); and full names of parents. Additional information - Name and residence of witnesses; date and place of marriage; by whom married; by license or banns; if by license, give number; name, description and residence of informant; when registered; and signature of clerk. I have found these to be most useful in yielding names of parents, although the early ones are handwritten, which often means trying to make out someone's writing. The other problem I have run into is in dealing with what must have been communication problems. Both of my Polish grandparents' names were spelled so differently than they really were that I had trouble even finding the registration. I hope this helps.
