Stephanie I have a William A. Moore in my genealogy born 1885 in Ontario but do not have a spouse for this gentleman. He is a grandson to George Moore born abt 1814 in Ontario. records are extremely sketchy since the connection comes through the Rombough family. I would like information concerning Henri Marchand (father Louis-Henri, mother Héloïse Vézina) birth 1887 in Batiscan (Québec). The informations I have obtained from the family are that his person arrived in Winnipeg around 1915-1920, would have married "Blanche de Blé". I was also inform that he would have opened the first Eaton store in Winnipeg. It is also possible that he was the founder of the small Municipality of "Marchand" near Winnipeg. Your help would be appreciated. Denise Cournoyer

> I have just found out my ggrandfather is buried in the cemetary that is in downtown Winnipeg. Could someone give me the name and a phone number. There are 3 cemeteries listed under the City of Winnipeg Brookside - 3001 Notre Dame St. Vital - 235 River Road Transcona - Dugald and Superior all have the same telephone number 204 986 - 4348 These are the only ones listed in the city but there are others that are affiliated with a church or a religion. I don' t know if you will have much luck with the above three but it is worth a try. Good Luck. Carol Lylyk Calgary, Ab
If it is in "downtown Winnipeg", it could very well be St. Mary's (Roman Catholic) Cemetery on Osborne St. Not living in Winnipeg any more, I don't have the address or phone number with me, but it would be associated with St. Mary's Cathedral, ph. (204) 947-0294. - John Lewkowich Victoria, BC, Canada ---------- > > I have just found out my ggrandfather is buried in the cemetary that is in > downtown Winnipeg. I have just found out my ggrandfather is buried in the cemetary that is in downtown Winnipeg. Could someone give me the name and a phone number. Also if anyone would be willing to take a picture of the head stone I would greatly appreciate it. I haven't been able to get the date of his death. They tell me his death was not registered. He died in 1924. I find this highly improbable. I just found out today he was hit by a truck. He died in a hospital , would this not mean it would have to be registered. Coralynn in |B.C.

I am interested in the REID, GLADWIN, COCHRAN(or Cockran), SHARP and MATTHEWS families. Four MATTHEWS sisters married into the other families in Winnipeg in the period 1902 to approx.1920. It is likely that they had connections to the Kildonan Presbyterian church as the MATTHEWS parents are buried in the churchyard of the Old Kildonan Church. If anyone has connections with these family names, please contact me. Thank you Bev Nelson Christchurch, New Zealand wr.nelson@xtra.co.nz
I am trying to trace a Harry and Kate Cooper and a Tom (Possibly Alfred Thomas) Hatley who were living in Camp Morton, Manitoba in the 1930s. I don't believe they had any descendants but would appreciate any advice on tracing their deaths and more about their lives in Manitoba. Many thanks Martyn in Australia
Greetings... this is my first time posting. I am looking for any information on Frederick Krauchi and Magdaline Wolf. Frederick Krauchi came from Switzerland around 1904 and married Magdaline Wolf who was from Hungary. I believe they were married February 26, 1906 in Winnipeg. Now I have heard that he had a dairy farm in Winnipeg for seven years. and later homesteaded in Ashern Manitoba. Would anyone have any information on this family at all. Thanks in advance. S. Coralynn, The British Columbia, Can GenWeb project has a query board. I suggest posting your information there. I think you have a better chance of finding someone who would be researching for a James BATEMAN from Victoria, B.C. http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/Canada/BritishColumbia/General Phyllis coralynn wrote: > > I have a death certificate that does not belong to me.
