    1. [MBWINNIPEG-L] Kennedy
    2. Trying to find some info on Albert Edgar Kennedy, lived in Winnipeg when married to Barbara Borg Eyford , my mother, in mid 1920s(?) and had two babies who died in 1926 and 1927. On the death certificate for one of babies, it lists birth place for Albert, Caplan Ont., hard to read it and I have not found Caplan? When in Winnipeg, in Sept., I noted a lot of Kennedy's in the phone book, but didn't call any one. Any thoughts on the subject.

    3. Hello Allen! I don't know if my Bracken family is connected to yours, but I'd be pleased to share and compare information. My information is somewhat sparse on the Bracken family so far, but basically it is: My Great Grandmother was Elsie Sophrona BRACKEN, b. in Ontario 1879, d. 1971. Married in 1903 to Richard John (Chum) BOWES in Meaford, Ontario. (Elsie's sister Minnie BRACKEN, 1877 - 1918, married Chum's brother, James BOWES). Elsie Bracken was one of about 10 children of Christie BRACKEN, b. 1840 and Mary Jane CLARK. Christie was the son of Richard BRACKEN and Ann ?BERRY?. The Bracken name also shows up in my husband's tree: Ellen Edith HILTON, b. 1881 in Russia, d. 1926 in Neepewa, Manitoba married George E. BRACKEN in 1904 in Manitoba. (I'm afraid that's all that I know of that family at this time, though I believe there are descendants.) Any of this sound familiar? I look forward to hearing from you! I've added a couple more marriages to the marriages page. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mbwinnip/ I want to say 'Thank You' to Roxanne Moos and others for taking the time to add Obituaries to the Obituary Board. All GenConnect Boards are indexed by surnames in the surname box and the body of the message. This is a great way to save genealogical information on our ancestors and for our 'cousins' to find us. There is also a Bios (Biography) board. If you have a Biography or an ancestor or someone else from the Winnipeg District, please add this information, too. Winnipeg District includes: Fort Rouge, River Heights, Daniel McIntyre, St. James-Assiniboia, Charleswood-Fort Gary, St. Charles, Point Douglas, Old Kildonan, Mynarski, North Kildonan, Elmwood, Transcona, St. Boniface, St. Vital and St. Norbert. If you have information, a web link or something else that you would like to add to Winnipeg District, GenWeb that will help us in our genealogical or historical research, please send me an e-mail. I can create additional GenConnect Boards: Bible records, Deeds, Wills, etc. If I can't create a board for a specific topic, I can create a web page for this information.
