    2. Chris Bradshaw
    3. Hi All... I've been trying to locate some record of the marriage in Nov 1896 of my great-grandparents, Thomas BRADSHAW and Ellen Elizabeth (Nellie) GORING for a long time now. Other records state they were married at Hillview Manitoba. Years ago I wrote to the archives & registrar of Manitoba about this & was told there was no known town or city named "Hillview." I've recently found out it is (or was) an unicorporated municipal area close to the Saskatchewan border near Virden. My question is where do I go from here? Anyone have any ideas about where they might have been married in this area? I don't think they were married in a church. Both were protestants. Perhaps a local justice of the peace or something like that? 3. Margaret, when I'm looking for a place in Manitoba, I go to the Manitoba GenWeb's Page of Manitoba Districts and Communities page http://www.rootsweb.com/~canmb/districts.htm I look at each District page until I find the town I'm looking for. If I can't find it there, then I try MapQuest http://www.mapquest.com/ Not there? Maybe it's a spelling error. . . or somebody on the list knows and get you pointed in the right direction. 3. Anne, Good Idea! Here is the web page to search the archives. http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl Type in CAN-MB-WINNIPEG-L for the mailing list that you want to search. I don't know how often the archives are updated. If you don't see what you are looking for this week, I would try again next week. 3. I have lost messages several times. Try this for lost information. Your e-mail section has a edit button, try the undo setting right away if you find you have made a mistake. If that fails, there is a trash section you can go to in the e-mail. Look through the deleted messages. Good luck. Diane MarCat wrote: > HELP.
